To support our work in diversity, equity and inclusion, we raised money on Giving Tuesday 2020 for the newly established school in JCPS – The Grace James Academy of Excellence. This is an opportunity to invest in future leaders of our community and country – Black girls. We know that a lack of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) course offerings in schools disproportionately attended by students of color along with stereotypes attached to both race and gender discourage Black girls from pursuing STEAM education opportunities.

This public school is specifically dedicated to empowering, activating and illuminating academic excellence in each and every girl through an Afrocentric and gender-specific STEAM curriculum.
